ABOUT ME

This “About Me” tells who I am and how I have journeyed as a designer in the digital industry. Most of my reflections start with my perspective on why design is a complex practice with immense potential to unlock value.

LUIGI THE DESIGNER

In the next paragraphs, I’ll walk you through my journey as a designer with over twenty years of experience in the digital industry.

While my academic background is not focused on tech and digital, I always had a thing for this environment. As a kid, I quickly learned about the different TV remote UIs. I helped a lot of neighbours set up their brand-new colour TVs. It was the first time I got paid for doing something that felt natural to me. This was my first UX experience. I had to figure out how the system worked, test my knowledge to ensure the result was optimal, and share my learning with the client to enable them to be effective and satisfied.

Over time, I felt connected to the design practice because of my passion for drawing with whatever I could get my hands on.

In addition to the design practice, my life is fueled by many passions. I’m all about making my family happy. My wife and I are gifted with the opportunity to turn two little rascals into unique humans. I can’t help but indulge in riding motorbikes and cars and collecting sneakers.

For the past decade, I’ve called Switzerland home. The country’s remarkable work-life balance, breathtaking alpine scenery, serene lakes, and enchanting cities have captured my heart. It truly feels like a second home to me!

Being an expat in Switzerland has been an enriching experience. This country allows me to get in touch with diverse cultures, unique customs, and varied perspectives on life.

When I’m not busy as a devoted father and husband, I greatly enjoy collaborating with my exceptional teammates. Together, we craft engaging digital experiences that unlock business value for the Organisation.

I devote all my free time to indulging in my greatest passions: the thrill of riding single-cylinder motorbikes, the allure of sports cars and the artistry of collecting sneakers.
