18/02/10 – Alan appears on stage with Depeche Mode After a wait of 16 years, many Mode fans' dreams came true last night when an on-stage reunion took place at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Alan appeared as a special guest during the DM show to perform the song 'Somebody' with Martin Gore.A well-kept secret was finally revealed to an unsuspecting audience at the moment of the first encore for the band's special one-off performance at the historical venue.This unique show was in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust with all proceeds from the show going to the charity.You can see a clip here or here
Grazie al fido tortello mi vedo il nuovo video dei dm, non so ancora dire se mi piace o meno, certo l’ambientazione è strana e quelle pomiciate esagerate non mi convincono granchè.
ho visto Control, il film di Corbjin sulla vita di Ian Curtis, leader dei Joy Division.
Lo stile è al solito inconfondibile, la sua maestria nell’utilizzare il bianco e nero e la sua passione per la musica rendono i suoi film davvero pregevoli.
Chiaramente vedere questo film è come guardare un lunghissimo video dei Depeche Mode senza la musica dei Depeche e senza Dave!
Non conosco particolarmente bene la storia musicale dei Joy Division, a parte la bellissima traccia che posto, ma dopo aver visto Control credo che approfondirò la loro conoscenza…

pochissime le info sul video, questa volta dietro la macchina da presa c’è Patrick Daughters è al suo primo lavoro con i Depeche, certo nulla può al confronto di sua maestà Anton, ma il suo lavoro sembra ben calibrato sul testo della traccia.
Per il momento me lo vedo e me lo rivedo, ma le emozioni son parecchie e tutte ben mischiate!
Di nuovo si sa che l’album Sound of the Universe sarà nei negozi (almeno in Italia) venerdì 17 aprile.
Novità su tutte per questo lavoro i Depeche hanno scelto la EMI per distribuire il disco in Italia.
